Under the hood of the 2019 Subaru Forester is a new 2.5L four-cylinder that is more fuel efficient with Auto Start-Stop technology and 33 highway mpg. 

The new 2.5L four-cylinder is also more powerful with 182 horsepower, 176 lb-ft of torque, and the ability to tow up to 1,500 lbs. One thing that has not changed about the 2019 Forester is standard Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive for unmatched traction and control everywhere you go. The 2019 Forester also comes standard with SI-DRIVE, a new performance feature that enables two different driving modes for thrilling performance. X-Mode with Hill Descent Control is on every 2019 Forester with the exception of the base model for enhanced performance on and off-road.

The 2019 Subaru Forester raises the bar once again with more standard and available safety features than before. Subaru EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, which includes four advanced safety features, is now standard on every 2019 trim level of the Forester. Now Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre-Collision Braking and Lane Keeping Assist with Sway Warning are available for everyone who gets behind the wheel of the Forester. 

The 2019 Forester also brings the all-new Subaru DriverFocus to the road to reduce distracted and drowsy driving by monitoring the driver and alerting them to bring their attention back to the road. The Subaru Forester is the only vehicle in its class with a distracted and drowsy mitigation system. Other advanced safety features of the 2019 Forester include Reverse Automatic Braking, Blind Spot Monitoring, LED Steering Responsive Headlights, and Subaru STARLINK Safety & Security.
