2020 Subaru Forester vs. 2020 Jeep Cherokee
Performance
Although both vehicles are known for their tremendous off-road pedigree, only the Forester comes equipped with standard all-wheel drive. Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive comes standard on all Forester models, offering the utmost traction and control when facing off with rugged terrain around Arizona. The Cherokee does offer a 4x4 system, but comes with standard front-wheel drive.
All 2020 Forester models come equipped with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder Boxer engine that produces 182-horsepower. The Cherokee falls slightly short with a standard 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 180-horsepower.
To help you save at the pump, the Forester offers up to 26 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway. The Cherokee offers slightly less, offering up to 20 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.
In addition to higher fuel economy, the Forester also offers 16.6 gallons of fuel capacity. The Cherokee falls slightly short with 15.8 gallons of fuel capacity.
Interior and Features

Both vehicles offer standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to help you keep in control of your vehicle on the road. But the Cherokee doesn't offer the amount of accommodations as the Forester. The Forester comes with standard steering-wheel-mounted controls for voice, audio, and more, which you can only find on higher trim levels of the Cherokee.
