2013 Subaru XV Functionality & Safety
The Subaru XV is based off of the Impreza design, but has a higher ride height, a roof spoiler, and unique 17-inch wheels that bolster the Subaru XV Crosstrek model's go anywhere attitude. In order to enable the 2013 XV to traverse rugged terrain, the engineers at Subaru incorporated a four-wheel independent suspension that features a raised configuration. Its 8.7 inches of ground clearance is higher than for most other crossover s and even some dedicated SUVs, and is equipped with larger front brake rotors than on Impreza 2.5i models. Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive comes standard with the new XV Crosstrek and utilizes a viscous-coupling locking center differential to distribute power 50/50 front to rear on the manual transmission model, and an electronically managed continuously variable transfer clutch that will actively manage power distribution based on acceleration, deceleration, and available traction for models equipped with the Lineartronic CVT automatic transmission.
Subaru XV Crosstrek Trims & Convenience
The 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek is available in two separate trim options including the Premium and Limited models. The 2013 XV Premium will come with standard features such as tilt/telescoping steering wheel with audio and Bluetooth® control switches; power windows, door locks and side mirrors; multi-function display with fuel economy information; and security system with an engine immobilizer.
